1/22/2024 0 Comments Fracture glass photos near me![]() ![]() Um, just a fracture is a very fun, um, lovable company that has, um, just an incredible mission. So it's been a really fun rocket ride with fracture is a fun. I joined fracture, uh, in September of 2013. So I'm not, so for clarity, um, I've been with fracture now. One of the cooler things about Gainesville's that a Tom petty and the heartbreakers or from there and you. We didn't actually overlap, but he was like in our neighborhood. Me and Tom Petty, you know, that's a long time ago. I was born, born there and went to Gainesville high school. ![]() Well, I, well I can certainly support that. And, uh, just we fell in love with it and decided there was a place where we want to raise our family. And so I, um, moved here in 96, graduated 99, uh, met the love of my life in 2000 while I was starting my first company. Herb: I moved to Gainesville in, uh, 1996, um, to attend the University of Florida. Um, have you been, are you from Gainesville? What are the odds of that? That's the key. I don't know if you know this, but I'm from Gainesville, Florida. Um,I don't know if you where we're located. It should be working from outside someplace. Herb: I am in Sunny Florida and uh, it's a rather nice weather today. ![]() Rubin: Where are you today? Where her, where are you today? So, uh, it's so exciting to have you on the show. I saw them and I remember telling Rubin, I'm like, have you heard about these guys? I was, I was at, this is great. What I'm actually familiar with your work, uh, commercials. Suzanne: The importance of printing your photos, getting them off of your phone and onto your wall. So I thought we would bring on someone who's like at least like-minded. Herb is CMO at a company called Fracture and they, like Neomodern, um, really believe in printing stuff. Suzanne I'd like to introduce to you Herb Jones. Suzanne: literally taking our show on the road quite literally. I think, um, well that's our hallmark is that we. Suzanne: Um, in the vicinity of San Francisco, but I'm not in our usual recording studio. A screw that comes in the box with the Fracture fits in perfectly all you have to do is find the perfect spot.Rubin: I'm good. Hanging the Fracture was equally easy the glass is attached to a backing board that has a notch in it. It's safe to say the photo arrived completely unblemished, and even a little ahead of schedule. The picture itself was zip-tied between two pieces of cardboard that were suspended in the middle of another large box. I've ordered products for years from so many vendors, and Fracture might have the best packaging I've seen. Once the box showed up, I realized that was misplaced anxiety. I ordered the largest size (21.6" x 28.8") and was a little worried about shipping. Once ordered, your Fracture is handmade in Florida and sent. I don't use Instagram, but I think more photo services should support square-sized photos, if they don't already. You can order Fractures in traditional landscape and portrait sizes or square sizes, for those amazing Instagram photos. It'll place an asterisk next to sizes it thinks are risky, too. If the tool thinks your small photo is going to be a blurry mess at 3x its normal size, it'll gray that option out. My favorite part of the upload tool is that it checks the resolution of your photo, and uses that to limit your max size. Fracture's upload tool does have some light editing tools, so if you want to make the photo gray scale, or give it a quick crop, you can. You upload your photo, pick your size, and order. The process of ordering a Fracture is similar to ordering a photo print through any other online service. Well, I finally found one: A commissioned portrait by one of my favorite web comic artists, Sarah Andersen. I knew I wanted to print this out and put it on my wall, but it was special enough that I wanted to give it the Fracture treatment. The process puts less space between you and the artwork, and doesn't require a frame to hang.įor years, I'd hear podcast hosts talk all about how great their Fractures were, while I tried to find a picture I wanted on my wall. They've differentiated themselves by printing pictures directly onto a single pane of glass. I'd heard about the photo service Fracture years ago they've been talked about on a lot of my favorite podcasts. ![]() I'm particular because what you put on your walls, much like what you wear or how you carry yourself, tells the outside world a lot about you. I moved into my new apartment over half a year ago and only hung up three things, two of which have gone up in the past month. I'm very particular about what decorations I put up on my walls.įor the last two years of college, I couldn't find anything I really liked, so I left them blank. ![]()
